Hair Artistry Course

* 9-week course w/ kit.

This intense 9-week program is comprised of a variety of hands-on experiences including 36 hours of in-class training and 10-20 hours of practical application. All students receive an extensive hair kit on the first day of class for their use during the course and at home for practical application assignments. Upon successful completion, a student will have the skills necessary to pursue a career as a hair artist for special events, photoshoots, runway, film, men’s grooming, motion pictures, television and music videos, and sales consultants (state licensing as a cosmetologist may be required for some jobs).

Week 1 – Hair Artistry as a Business, Safety & Hygiene

Week 2 – Teasing and Thinning Hair

Week 3 – Braids

Week 4 – Curls

Week 5 – Glam Waves and Pinup Styles

Week 6 – Pony Tails, Buns, Straightening, Wet Look

Week 7 – Updos (With and without a base, with a donut piece and with clip-in extensions)

Week 8 – Chignon and French Twist

Week 9 – Bridal (installing bridal head pieces)
